Whenever the Kings play the Lakers it's a big deal here in Sacramento. I was able to snag a few tickets to this game and invite a few friends out. The seats were in the upper level, but they still provided an excellent view of the game action.
My friend Alex sat in my season ticket spot. As you can see he is a big Lakers fan. Does that cause a rift between us? Well, let's juts say that good thing Alex is such a good guy (aside from his team preference!).
Caught Scott Fresh chatting with KHTK1140 radio personality Charmichael Dave on the court before the game. It's always fun to see these two. And to Scott Fresh... THANK YOU for the sweet gift!
The fans were given BEAT LA signs and noise makers. The arena was packed today and it was thunderously loud. There were many fans of the Kings AND Lakers in the house today.
After the first quarter Katie Nicholson and Kings Community surprised kids with a bike give-away. As you know, the Kings have been doing so much to help the community this month. Really amazing.
Santa came out during a time out and showed everyone in Sacramento that he can jump just as well as any NBA player. Just check out this move above!
It's pretty awesome to be able to see Kobe live in action. Last season he was out for many games so I didn't actually get to see him play. He'll be a Hall of Fame player for sure.
Ben McLemore had the difficult assignment of guarding Kobe for much of the game, but he did a very good job contesting shots and staying on him. That couldn't have been an easy job!
It's not often, but sometimes the Big Cuz loses the headband. Here he is about to drive into the paint on an offensive possession. Cousins was almost unstoppable today, the Lakers just didn't have any answer for him.
I loved his shot of Jason Thompson throwing down a hard dunk early in the game. This was definitely a message to the Lakers that the Kings came to play tonight.
The Kings dancers were back in Santa outfits... but they were different than from the last game! They definitely looked really good out there as they performed their two routines.
The Kings got the victory today and stopped the losing streak that hey had been on. It's been a tough few games but hopefully the Kings will get back on track. A difficult challenge awaits on Monday as the Kings go to Golden State to play the Warriors.
