Kings v. Grizzlies 11.30.14

The Kings were taking on the Grizzlies this Sunday afternoon. The team had been on the road for a while so it was great to have them back at the Train. Outside our section there was a cool poster making station for kids who wanted to make signs to hold up during the game.

Actually, it was the official family night of the Kings today. So a lot of things around the arena had to do with family oriented activities. It just so happened that today I invited my friend Raymond and his father at the game. Both are big Kings fans, and I was glad that they could come out! Not much is better than catching the game with pops!

The Junior SKD performed for the first time this season. Their bigger sisters didn't have an on-court routine in the first half, but the Jr. SKD filled in nicely. I think the entire arena enjoyed the performance of these rising star dancers!

Tonight the Kings were without big man DeMarcus Cousins... and his presence was missed greatly. The Grizzlies are a very tough and physical team. Without our main scorer and offensive presence, it was hard to get a lot going against them.

I have to say the Kings fought hard tonight despite missing their superstar. The other players stepped up and played with passion. It just wasn't enough to defeat a really solid team like Memphis.

During the second half of the game the SKD came out and brought the tambourines to the floor! They didn't have them during the rehearsal so this was a surprise to me!

After the game I got to catch up with a few of the SKD for a #SundaySelfie. There are quite a few home games coming up this month, and I'm really looking forward to them all!
