Pistons came to town to take on the Sacramento Kings. The Pistons are a tough and physical team that the Kings would have a hard time with. Even though they don't have many wins this season, Detroit is not to be taken lightly.
The national anthem tonight was presented by a children's choir. All the kids in it did a marvelous job... and looked totally cute while singing. I particularly liked this young gal who was sporting some Kings face paint. Nice move on her part!
With DeMarcus Cousins still out, Ryan Hollins continued to take the center position for the Kings. He's a player who definitely didn't play much in the early season because Cousins was entrenched as our center. Hollins has had to shoulder quite a load - it's really impossible to be DMC's replacement.
I loved SKD's hip hop performance during the first half of the game. The girls were looking really fierce. Sadly, because of all the other on-court activities going on, they only got to perform once. But they made it a good one that's for sure.
Here's Scott Fresh as he does a video spot during the game. Scott definitely helps the crowd keep the energy up in each and every situation - whether the Kings are up big or in need of some 6th man help.
The Kings players showed effort in this game as they have done all season. I am always impressed with their work ethic - it is so much improved from years past.
Players like Derek Williams stepped up their game versus the Pistons tonight. Several players who usually only marginally contribute put in some impressive buckets.
Though we played hard, the Kings lost this game. It was a tough one to swallow yet again... and now the Kings are 2-7 without their centerpiece.
